Brian Crim (Director of Youth and Family Ministry)

Brian grew up in Waukegan, Illinois. He graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies from Bethel University in Arden Hills, MN. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, WI. Brian & Jen met while attending Bethel University and got married in 1997. They have four children: Jay, Ethan, Karin, and Caitlyn.

Brian served as a Youth Pastor at Faith Community Church in Hudson, WI, for 11 years before coming to The River. He was added as part-time staff in 2010. His role is to lead the Youth and Family ministry. Brian's passion is helping youth mature in their faith by connecting them with adults who will love, accept, and invest in them as they make the transition to adulthood. He also serves as the Youth L.E.A.D. Team Coach for the West & West Central Districts of the Great Lakes Baptist Conference. Brian enjoys golf, waterskiing, strategy games, and football in any form. He also loves camping and staying in cabins with his wife and children.

Jen works full-time at Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union in St. Paul, MN, as a Member Advisor. She enjoys movie nights with friends, beading, time alone in a quiet house, reading, running, and trying to beat her husband at the Wii. She also finds great joy in encouraging young women as they grow in their faith.
